1974 Ward GMC Volunteer

 

Year: 1974 Model: Ward Volunteer with a GMC B-series chassis. ID: 28 Owner/Operator: Mehlville School District R-9, St. Louis, Missouri.  Location: St. Louis, Missouri Buses 1-8 and Buses 28-34 were purchased by the Mehlville School District in 1974. Though the District typically kept buses in its fleet in service for ten years, most of these 15 Ward/GMC buses were gone by 1981. They often broke down, and some leaked water from the roof.
