| Year: 1988 Model: Thomas Ford B700 Conventional, 6.6L diesel engine ID: 183 Owner/Operator: Birmingham Public Schools, Birmingham, Michigan Location: Birmingham bus lot, Birmingham, Michigan This bus was retrofitted with a multiplexed 8 way warning light system when Michigan required any bus manufactured after October 1, 1990 to be equipped with 8 way warning lights. Districts would not be reimbursed to retrofit older buses, however many did. Because it is a multiplexed system and uses only one wire for each set of lights (a set is considered one amber and one red light), the warning light monitor (a Michigan requirement) will display a red LED regardless of the color of the outside light.
