In the Spring of 1980, Mehlville School District took delivery of (15) new
Carpenter buses with Ford chassis. It was the second-largest order the District
had ever made at any one time (in 1977, the District purchased 17 buses in one
order). These 1980 models featured Ford's brand new tougher-look chassis, which
would last through the decade. Buses 63-77 were in service for the
Mehlville School District from 1980-1990.
