Quoted from Todd's email:
"These buses were delivered in 1972 with only a 4-way warning light system. In
1979, however, they were brought up to Missouri code when the school district
outfitted each bus with an 8-way warning light system. (Mike's Bus Yard
note: This appears to be the same Aeroflash kit popular among converted Michigan
buses in the early 1990s.) The Mehlville School District in St. Louis,
Missouri, has owned operated its own fleet of school buses since the 1930s. In
the late 1960s/early 1970s, due to the growth of the District and a student
population explosion, the fleet had grown to about 100 buses. Each bus was sold
after about ten years of service."
