Year: 1997 Model: 72-passenger Blue Bird Conventional on a Ford B-800 chassis with a beefed-up Cummins 5.9L diesel engine, a 5-speed manual transmission, air brakes, and rear air ride suspension. ID: 6 Owner/Operator: Private contractor in Michigan. Location: Michigan This bus originally served a local parochial school. It is primarily used for evening trips for its excellent highway performance. All the buses in this fleet are awaiting their annual cleaning. Along with many other preventative maintenance items, once a year these buses are hand-polished; the bumpers and wheels are sanded and repainted; Armor-All is put on the seats; and necessary touch-ups are applied to the body. The drivers are consistent about keeping clean interiors as well. Photos By: Mike's Bus Yard, 3 July 2009 |
