Prior to the delivery of these Micro-Birds, Mehlville owned and operated only
one other known van-conversion bus. It was an early 1970s van (literally) with
4-way warning lights attached to the front and back. It was numbered Bus 42.
Another interesting point about these Micro-Bird buses is that prior to their
addition to the fleet, the highest bus number in the Mehlville fleet was "100,"
and there had only been one Bus 100: a 1971 Carpenter conventional with an
International chassis.
